NaBloPoMo… Here We Go!

NaBloPoMo is short for “National Blog Post Month”. This means that every day during the month of November, I will be posting a blog. Er, I will be attempting to. I debated on doing it because I worried that people would find a blog post a day obnoxious but then I said eff that, it’s my blog and I’ll post daily if I want to. Daily if I want to, daily if I want to. You would post to if it happened to you.

………………………………….

Anyway, the writing prompt for today is: “Describe the plot of the next book you want to read, even if the book doesn’t exist yet.”

This is relatively easy and fairly uncreative, considering the next book I want to read already does exist. A few of my coworkers have read the book Under the Dome by Stephen King, and I’m itching to get my hands on a copy after hearing them gush about it. Stephen King is my favorite author of all time and I really enjoyed the last book of his that I read which was Lisey’s Story. The plot of Under the Dome:

Shortly before noon on October 21 of an unspecified year after 2012 (evidenced by mention of a faded bumper sticker for Barack Obama‘s successful 2012 re-election campaign[4][5]), the small Maine town of Chester’s Mill is abruptly separated from the outside world by an invisible, semipermeable barrier of unknown origin. The immediate appearance of the barrier causes a number of injuries and fatalities, and traps former Army Captain Dale “Barbie” Barbara—who is trying to leave Chester’s Mill—inside the town. — From the Under the Dome Wiki page

I don’t care how many bombs Stephen King has produced, and how many crappy endings his books have had *coughDARKTOWERcough*. I will read anything the man writes.

So… This is my first post in NaBloPoMo. It’s a little rusty, but I think I’ll get the hang of it.
