Little Scholastic Book Review + Giveaway!

Howdy readers! It’s giveaway time!
*cue parade music*

It’s no secret that I love to write. I also love to read, and I love to read to Nellie. Her favorite books so far have been touch-and-read books so when Little Scholastic contacted me to review two books, I jumped at the opportunity!

About Little Scholastic

From the most trusted name in learning comes Little Scholastic, a developmental publishing program that introduces reading to babies and toddlers ages birth to three years. Each book features rhyming, repetitive, or predictable text, interactive components, and familiar subjects—all formatted to delight babies, toddlers, and parents. Visit www.littlescholastic.com for expert advice and articles, parenting tips, book information, and more.

The first book they sent me was the “Numbers” book. Once I opened it, I knew Nellie was going to dig it.

“Bold and bright, this tactile board book features numbers to count and touch. Review basic numbers with this appealing, hands-on format!”

It features different animals, with different textures on each page. Nellie’s favorite page is the “three fluffy sheep” page, as you can see here!

I love this book because it allows me to teach my daughter her numbers, and she gets to explore and play with textures. It also teaches her animal names!

The second book we got to play with was “Zoo”.

“An intricately designed board book with colorful art that leaps off the page and can literally be pulled out of the page as well. Each spread is designed to nest a removable flash card. When all four flash cards are removed, they can be reconnected outside of the book to create a four-piece puzzle. Zoo is a three-in-one reading experience: book, flash card, and puzzle.”

As you can see, this book is just all sorts of awesome! Nellie likes to play with the flash cards and pull them out..

And I absolutely adore the fact that this book will grow with her. It helps me teach her colors and animals with the pages and the flash cards. When she gets old enough, she can learn which flash card goes where, and also how to put the pieces of the puzzle together!

Two lucky readers will win a copy of each book, Zoo AND Numbers! Here’s how..

Mandatory means if you do not complete this entry first, your extra entries will not count. Be sure to leave your e-mail, Twitter ID, or other contact info in case you win.
